Fund awards

The value of investments and the income from them may go down as well as up and you may not get back your original investment. Past performance should not be seen as an indication of future performance.

Our awards date back to 2002 across a range of funds. We are delighted to receive such acknowledgement from rating agencies and trade publications, as we continue to target consistently higher investment returns for our investors.

The Rathbone Special Situations Fund, Rathbone High Income Fund and the Rathbone Smaller Companies Fund are no longer available for investment, please refer to the merger process for further information.

Rathbones wins 5-star rating award for online services

Rathbones wins 5-star rating award for online services

Presented last night (25 June) at Fabric, the awards recognise the importance of quality service to intermediary clients and are considered to be the benchmark for service standards within the retail finance marketplace.

The ratings are awarded based on the views of 1,000 polled advisers, who rate providers on the range of services offered, and the efficacy of their online provision and ease of use.

Commenting, our chief executive Mike Webb said:

“This award demonstrates that we are providing a vital service to our adviser customers, and has particular value as it’s voted for by our clients. At Rathbones we strive to look forward, and this 5-star rating is testament to all we have achieved.”

About the awards

The FTAdviser Online Service Awards are an independent measurement of which providers are getting it right online, and who needs to do more work to keep their intermediary customers happy. Once they receive all the voting data, the information is independently checked and verified, before the results are collated. These results allow financial service providers to benchmark themselves against their peers; and intermediaries to health check their own service experience against the norm.

Those awarded a 5-star for service are considered to be the top performers, down through 4, 3, 2 and 1 star ratings. Providers who achieved very little support did not even qualify for a star rating.

The Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund collected one of two 'Gold' awards in the 'Global Equity' category on Friday 24th January at The Four Seasons Hotel, London during the Portfolio Adviser magazine awards 2014.

An independent judging panel used their own qualitative research skills on a long list of funds provided by Morningstar’s quantitative data analysis. The panel took a view on what they see as the funds’ future potential rather than past performance and each were asked individually to give their nominations in response to the question: “Where would you invest you and your clients’ money today, looking ahead 12-24 months?”.

The panel represented Portfolio Adviser’s magazine readers, online subscribers and event delegates: investment-specialist IFAs, discretionary fund managers, independent fund researchers, private bank client advisers, multi-managers and private client portfolio managers.
